Released in May 2014 as the second single from Jennifer Lopez’s eighth studio album, A.K.A., “First Love” is an infectious pop anthem about finding the person you wish you had met years earlier. Written by hitmakers Max Martin, Savan Kotecha, and Ilya Salmanzadeh, the track blends pop, electropop, and R&B with powerful drums, synth-driven beats, and a fun, carefree energy. Music critics praised its polished production and feel-good vibe, while the song topped the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart and reached #2 in Hong Kong. Its striking black-and-white music video, directed by Anthony Mandler, features Jennifer sharing romantic moments with British model David Gandy in a desert setting. J.Lo also performed the song at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards and several other major television appearances.

Lyrics
First Love (Lyrics):
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
See I know a little bit something good
Always comes out of a little bit something bad
And I wasn’t looking for someone new ’til you came down
Giving me the best that I’ve had
And now you’re on my skin
Body-to-body, working me out (Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah)
Yeah you, you play to win
Rocking me steady, round after round
