Released in 2014 from Jennifer Lopez’s eighth studio album, A.K.A., “Booty” turned up the heat with an infectious dance beat, heavy percussion, and Middle Eastern-inspired influences. Featuring Pitbull on the original version, the playful club anthem celebrates dancing, confidence, and having fun on the dance floor. After becoming a top-20 hit in the US, the song received a high-profile remix featuring Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, released as the album’s third single. Directed by Hype Williams, the remix’s eye-catching music video showcases Jennifer and Iggy delivering bold choreography in a series of striking, water-soaked scenes. The duo later brought the track to the stage together at the 2014 American Music Awards, creating one of the era’s most talked-about performances.
