The music video for Jennifer Lopez’s “I’m Real” was directed by Dave Meyers and features a relaxed, countryside-inspired atmosphere. The video opens with Lopez riding a motorcycle along a highway, passing smiling children who stop what they are doing to run after her. She later stops at a gas station and walks through a nearby town, attracting the attention of the locals as she makes her way through the streets. Along the way, she enjoys ice cream with a group of children before returning to her motorcycle and riding back down the highway, followed by a growing crowd of youngsters. The music then pauses as Lopez steps onto a stage set on a hillside and launches into a dance break to Zapp’s “More Bounce to the Ounce,” accompanied by backup dancers, including her then-partner Cris Judd. The video continues with Lopez singing and dancing for the enthusiastic crowd, creating a lively, community-focused celebration. Ja Rule and model Travis Fimmel also make cameo appearances in the original video. A separate remix video featuring Ja Rule was filmed shortly afterwards, adopting a more urban setting that would become closely associated with the song’s popular remix.
