Originally featured on Jennifer Lopez’s J.Lo (2001), “I’m Gonna Be Alright” returned in 2002 with a fresh hip-hop remix featuring rapper Nas. Released as the second single from J to tha L–O! The Remixes, the Trackmasters-produced version gave the song a new urban edge, built around reworked elements of Luniz’s “I Got 5 on It.” With its uplifting message of independence and moving forward, the remix became another hit for J.Lo, reaching #10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and earning her sixth American top-ten single. The original Trackmasters version featured 50 Cent before Nas recorded new verses for the official radio release.

Lyrics
I’m Gonna Be Alright [Trackmaster Remix featuring NaS] (Lyrics):
(NaS)
Yo, I took you from the projects, put the best clothes in ya closet
Like Ginger from “Casino” and now you a pro
We was like Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe
All ya jealous girlfriends hatin’ waitin’
So I put the cars in yo hand
All I know is Nas was yo man
It was so real, boats and sixes
Special Japanese chefs makin’ home cooked dishes
Plenty trips, invisible sets
You know what you missin’
