Released in April 2003, “I’m Glad” was the third single from Jennifer Lopez’s This Is Me… Then album. This upbeat R&B track celebrates the joy of finding true love after waiting so long, with its lyrics widely linked to J.Lo’s romance with Ben Affleck at the time. The song samples Schoolly D’s “P.S.K. What Does It Mean?” and achieved international success, reaching #32 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and #4 on the Dance Club Play chart. Its iconic music video, directed by David LaChapelle, pays tribute to the 1983 film Flashdance, recreating its unforgettable dance scenes and earning four MTV Video Music Award nominations in 2003.

Lyrics
I’m Glad (Lyrics):
Baby when I think about (about, about)
The day that we first met (the day that we first met)
Wasn’t lookin for what I found
But I found you
and I’m bound to find happiness being around you
Chorus:
I’m glad when I’m makin love to you
I’m glad for the way you make me feel
I love it cause you seem to blow my mind every time
I’m glad when I walk you hold my hand
I’m happy that you know how to be a man
I’m glad that you came into my life
I’m so glad
