Years earlier, a rogue AI named Harlan initiated a devastating rebellion against humanity before escaping Earth. Haunted by her connection to the events surrounding Harlan, Atlas dedicates herself to understanding his behaviour and preventing his return. When a mission is organised to capture the fugitive artificial intelligence, Atlas joins the operation despite her reservations about the technology that supports it.
However, the mission quickly goes wrong, leaving her stranded on a distant planet where survival depends on a sophisticated AI-powered combat suit. Connected to an artificial intelligence called Smith, Atlas must learn to cooperate with the very technology she fears. Their relationship begins with suspicion and resistance, as Atlas struggles to relinquish control and Smith attempts to understand her needs.
As they face dangerous enemies and mounting threats, their partnership gradually develops into something more meaningful.
