Directed by Jessy Terrero, the eight-minute music video for “Pa’ Ti” and “Lonely,” Jennifer Lopez’s two-part collaboration with Maluma, was filmed over three days in Huntington, Long Island, and New York City. Released as a connected visual story, the video blends romance, crime and high-stakes drama. It opens with news reports about corruption on Wall Street and mysterious financial crimes before introducing Lopez as a wealthy, corrupt billionaire under FBI investigation. Maluma plays an undercover agent posing as her bodyguard and chauffeur, assigned to monitor her movements. As “Pa’ Ti” unfolds, Lopez flaunts her lavish lifestyle, dancing with male performers in her office and sharing intimate moments with Maluma, including a scene on the glass-floored observation deck at The Edge in Hudson Yards, high above New York City. Their growing attraction leads to a romance, but the story takes a dramatic turn in “Lonely” when the FBI raids Lopez’s mansion and she is arrested, discovering that her lover has been secretly working against her. The pair later confront each other in an intense interrogation-room scene before Lopez performs a dance break in prison and Maluma helps her escape. Two months later, he finds her at a bar in Abu Dhabi, but she walks away, leaving their story on an ambiguous note. Lopez’s transformation throughout the video is reflected in her styling, with Chris Appleton creating her hairstyles, Mary Phillips handling her makeup, and Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn curating her wardrobe. The video also features a cameo from TikTok star Charli D’Amelio, who is seen watching the music video on her phone.
