Live It Up (Feat. Pitbull)

The music video for “Live It Up” featuring Pitbull was directed by Jessy Terrero and showcases Jennifer Lopez in a glamorous blend of high-fashion runway scenes, beachside partying and energetic club choreography. Lopez described the production as one of the most fun videos she had ever made, with choreographer Casper Smart working alongside JR Taylor and Lyle Beniga to organise auditions for the dancers. The video opens in Paris, France, where Lopez prepares for a fashion show in a striking black feathered dress, surrounded by models including America’s Next Top Model alum Eva Marcille. Taking centre stage on the runway, she performs an elaborate dance routine reminiscent of her “I’m Glad” video, accompanied by trapeze rings and an audience captivated by her performance. She later returns to the catwalk in a red leather bodysuit with a blonde fringe, showing off another daring look before the scenes transition to Lopez relaxing on a beach chair overlooking the sea, wearing an orange swimsuit and vibrant orange lipstick. Meanwhile, Pitbull enjoys a beach party in Saint-Tropez and messages Lopez to join him. After the fashion show, Lopez arrives at the beach in a loose green kaftan, dancing and celebrating alongside Pitbull and the surrounding partygoers. The video also features a nightclub illuminated by green lasers, where Lopez and her dancers perform intricate choreography. Throughout the clip, she embraces several distinct styles, from a bronze-goddess aesthetic and an Egyptian-inspired gold choker to edgy feathered couture and colourful beachwear. A behind-the-scenes preview aired during Entertainment Tonight’s “J.Lo Week” in May 2013, and the full music video premiered on the programme before being uploaded to Lopez’s Vevo channel on May 17, 2013. During filming, gunshots were reported nearby while Lopez was being interviewed on set, but security confirmed she was safe inside her vehicle; the incident was unrelated to the production, and no injuries were reported.
