Jennifer Lopez teamed up with Jason Derulo and Norwegian DJ and producer Matoma for “Try Me,” a smooth, tropical-inspired pop track released on May 26, 2015. Featured on Derulo’s fourth studio album, Everything Is 4, the song blends his melodic vocals with J.Lo’s sultry delivery and Matoma’s signature tropical-house production. The collaboration came about while Derulo was working with Lopez on material for her upcoming album, when she suggested they create a track for his project instead. Released as a European single, “Try Me” also appeared on Matoma’s debut album, Hakuna Matoma, bringing together three artists for a breezy, flirtatious musical collaboration.
