Featured on Jennifer Lopez’s ninth studio album, This Is Me… Now (2024), “Rebound” explores the complicated emotions of falling into a relationship while still healing from past heartbreak. Blending contemporary R&B and pop, the track captures the tension between attraction, vulnerability, and the fear of repeating old patterns. Jennifer delivers an intimate performance as she reflects on the pull of a new romance and the uncertainty that comes with using love to move forward. As part of the deeply personal This Is Me… Now era, “Rebound” fits into the album’s wider story of self-discovery, emotional growth, and Jennifer’s search for lasting love.

Lyrics
Rebound (Lyrics):
We don’t have to lie, we know this is wrong
Someone on my mind, got someone on my phone
If we gonna play house, then I can play my role
Before it gets too deep, don’t wanna lead you on
Ran into your arms while runnin’ from the pain
Ran past all the signs lookin’ for somethin’ safe
Let you take advantage, so I could fill that space
Just another classic case
