About

Miami Glow by Jennifer Lopez was launched in 2005 as a tropical interpretation of the Glow fragrance concept, inspired by the sun, beaches, nightlife and lively atmosphere of Miami. Lopez has spoken about her affection for the city, and the fragrance translates its warm-weather associations into a fruity, floral and creamy composition.

Created by perfumer Caroline Sabas, Miami Glow opens with passionfruit, coconut milk and pink grapefruit, producing a juicy tropical introduction with a bright citrus accent. Orange blossom, heliotrope and cyclamen form the heart, introducing a soft floral quality that balances the fruitiness. Vanilla, musk and amber create the base, giving the fragrance a warm, sweet finish reminiscent of sunlit skin and summer evenings.

The overall effect differs from the original Glow, which is known for its clean, soapy character, by emphasising tropical sweetness and a relaxed, holiday-inspired mood. Miami Glow was one of the earliest and most recognisable extensions of the Glow collection, helping establish the idea that the original fragrance could be reimagined around different locations and atmospheres.

Its combination of coconut, fruit, flowers and vanilla makes it especially associated with summer and warm-weather wear. For Jennifer Lopez fragrance collectors, Miami Glow is a defining entry in the collection’s mid-2000s period and an example of how a place can inspire the character of a perfume.
