Deseo Forever by Jennifer Lopez was launched in 2008 as a lighter, softer companion to the original Deseo fragrance. Developed in collaboration with Coty, it continued the collection’s nature-inspired identity while presenting a more delicate interpretation of the original concept.
Its floral woody musk composition begins with apple, peach, bergamot, orange blossom and hedione, creating a fruity and gently citrus-inflected introduction. The heart combines magnolia, freesia, mimosa, lily-of-the-valley, rose and mineral notes, giving the fragrance a floral character with a fresh, airy dimension. Musk, amber, oakmoss, patchouli, sandalwood and cedar form the base, adding warmth and woody depth without abandoning the lighter character of the composition.
The bottle retains the distinctive faceted shape associated with Deseo but uses a brighter, lighter presentation to reflect the variation in scent. Deseo Forever was introduced in Asia in April 2008, and its positioning as a sister fragrance makes it particularly interesting within Lopez’s catalogue.
Rather than simply repeating the original, it offered a related but different interpretation, allowing the Deseo name to represent a broader fragrance identity built around sensuality, natural inspiration and feminine florals.
