Terri Flores is a documentary filmmaker leading a crew into the Amazon rainforest to document an Indigenous community. Accompanied by a small team of researchers and filmmakers, she hopes to capture footage that will bring attention to a remote culture and its environment. Their journey takes an unexpected turn when they encounter Paul Serone, a mysterious man who claims to know the region and offers to help them locate a legendary tribe. Although his assistance initially appears useful, Serone’s increasingly erratic behaviour raises suspicions about his real motives.
The crew soon discovers that he is obsessed with capturing a gigantic anaconda, a deadly predator capable of hunting humans. As the expedition moves deeper into the rainforest, the group becomes entangled in a terrifying struggle for survival. Their equipment, experience and sense of security prove inadequate against the dangers surrounding them, while distrust among the crew threatens to destroy their ability to work together. Terri attempts to maintain control and protect her colleagues as the expedition descends into chaos. The enormous snake becomes a relentless threat, turning the rainforest into a hostile environment where every decision may determine who survives.
Combining creature horror, adventure and suspense, Anaconda explores the consequences of obsession and the dangers of exploiting nature for personal ambition. Terri’s determination to save her team becomes the driving force behind a desperate attempt to escape a predator whose power far exceeds anything the filmmakers anticipated.
