Hold You Down (Feat. Fat Joe)

The music video for Jennifer Lopez’s “Hold You Down,” featuring Fat Joe, was directed by Diane Martel and edited by Paul Martínez. Released on March 7, 2005, the video was filmed in the Bronx, New York City, reflecting the neighbourhood’s importance to both artists. Lopez is seen performing on the rooftop of a building and singing in a hallway, while Fat Joe walks through the surrounding streets. The urban setting gives the video a grounded, personal atmosphere that complements the song’s themes of loyalty, gratitude, and staying true to the people who supported you along the way. Before the video’s release, Lopez told MTV News that she wanted to be authentic, reinforcing the song’s heartfelt message and connection to her roots.
